In 2004, God spoke with Marty Jean-Louis (founder of MCF) and told him "You're complaining about not having enough family-friendly, faith-base content on TV, why don't you do something about it?" Marty heard that voice and started talking to some friends about building MCF, everyone loved the idea but when it came tme to meet and discuss and move forward, no-one seem to be interested. After several attempts, Marty gave up.
One year later, Marty and his family moved to Orlando, Fl from New York and after a year in Florida, God spoke to him again and again he listened, the same experience that had happened in New York had actually happened again.
After letting go and completely forgetting about MCF, it was in 2008 that God called him again to persue MCF and once again, Marty heard the voice and this time he spoke back to God and said "This is the last attempt".
In October of 2008, Marty was working on a horror film project and met Staci Thompson. She was one of the actresses in that film. After about a month, Marty told Staci about the project, although it wasn't quiet clear to Staci at the time, she wanted to be a part of such project. Around that same time, Marty was covering an event at Northland Church and met a writer by the name "Chelsi Cauthen". I told her about the project and she was excited. Staci, Chelsi and I met on November 26, 2008 and My Christian Films was formed.
